The Interlochen Summer Arts Festival offers concerts throughout the summer.

June 2016

Friday, June 10 – The Leland Artscape|Artwalk is beginning of the annual Wine and Food Festival and has art, music, and great food.

Saturday, June 11 – The Leland Wine & Food Festival is the oldest wine festival in Michigan. From 1pm to 8pm, visitors can taste wines, sample food and listen to live music.

July 2016

Sunday, July 3 – Fireworks at dusk

Monday, July 4 – Fourth of July parade includes plenty of small town charm including fun floats by local businesses, antique cars and firetrucks, and the kid’s bike parade. Start time at 3pm.

July 2 – 9 – National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, MI. The first cherry festival was held in 1926 and is now Traverse City’s signature event, drawing as many as 500,000 attendees. There are 150 events and activities planned (85% are free!).

Friday, July 22 – 15th annual Tour de TART, a bicycle ride from Traverse City to Suttons Bay. More than 600 enjoy a leisurely ride with food stops along the way and a great dinner at Suttons Bay Marina Park.

July 26 – July 31 – Traverse City Film Festival offers an outstanding selection of independent, foreign, and documentary films, as well as premieres, parties, panel discussions and lectures about the world of film.

August 2016

Saturday, August 6 – Port Oneida Trail Walk/Run, Charles Olson Farm, 5k Barn to Barn Run

Thursday and Friday, August 11 & 12 – Bargains abound at Leland Sidewalk Sales

Friday and Saturday, August 21 & 22 – Annual Summer Microbrew & Music Festival at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons. Sample craft brews, wine and ciders. Live music, local food, craft beer education.

September 2015

Saturday, September 17 – Leland Heritage Festival includes Fishtown Fest, a Classic Car Show, a Leland Historic Building art show, and the wood boats on the wall at the Museum.

October 2016

Saturday, October 1 – Sleeping Bear Marathon, a scenic marathon, half marathon, and 5k run/walk in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Saturday, October 22 – Leland Fall Frenzy includes cider, doughnuts, and special sales for the end of the season.
